Scouting Report:
Ivan Miroshnichenko is an elite skater, hits like a truck, and has an unbelievable shot. His elite skating, shot, and size makes him tough to manage for opposing teams. Ivan is an opportunistic goal scorer around the net, and can kill you in transition if the other team turns pucks over at the blueline. Ivan tore up the Russian U18 league in 2019-20, scoring 10 goals and 14 goals in 8 regular season games, then 8 goals and 13 points in 8 playoff games for Vityaz Podolsk. Miroshnichenko played for Omskie Yastreby of the MHL in the 2020-21 season, and scored 15 points in 20 games, and also represented Russia at the U18s, scoring 6 goals and 8 points in 7 games. Miroshnichenko is comparable in playstyle to Alex Ovechkin, in the sense that they both are excellent scorers, that hit like a mad truck. Ivan isn’t likely to be as good a goal scorer as Ovechkin, but he should be an excellent goal scorer in the NHL. Given his goal scoring potential, Miroshnichenko should be a top 10 pick in the 2022 draft.
