Otto Stenberg is a well-rounded and dynamic offensive player who can create offense with his playmaking and vision and his scoring ability. Stenberg already plays a mature two-way game with tremendous energy and skill. He’s constantly involved in driving the play and always on the go in the offensive zone. He has positional versatility as both a Left Winger and Center, but his skill set suggests that he would be better suited as a winger at the NHL level. Even at a young age, Stenberg already shows excellent leadership qualities and seems to get the most out of whoever he plays with. He played an energetic, involved, quick and skilled game that produced results as the Captain for Sweden at the Hlinka Gretzky Cup, where he recorded 5 goals and 9 points in 5 games. Stenberg has played stints in three leagues in Sweden: J18, J20, and the SHL; after dominating the J18 with 7 goals and 10 points in 3 games, he recorded 6 goals and 14 points in 18 games. From here on out, it is expected that Stenberg will see time in both the SHL and J20. Otto Stenberg projects to be a top 6 forward with dynamic offensive skills, a solid two-way game, and the potential to be a Captain in the NHL.

Scouting Report
Otto Stenberg spent the last season playing for Frölunda’s J20 and J18 teams and was able to produce at a pace of two points-per-game in the J18 with 24 points in just 12 games, and near a point-per-game at the J20 level, notching 16 goals and 19 assists in 38 games. He was a leading forward for the U17 national team and despite only scoring two goals in six games at the U18 Worlds, he had a strong showing in that tournament. Stenberg is an energetic and offensively skilled forward with a dynamic skillset and a well-rounded offensive toolkit to produce points with his playmaking as well as hit shot, which comes off his blade with force and accuracy. Stenberg has great puck skills, high-end vision, and good playmaking ability that allows him to pick apart defensive coverages and find teammates in open space. Although Stenberg is not big in stature, he is tough to knock off the puck, and both his skating and motor are top-notch. Stenberg has been playing both center and wing in the junior ranks but will likely end up as a winger at the Swedish pro level, but would likely be a winger at the NHL level. The NHL Comparison for Otto Stenberg is Filip Forsberg, although Stenberg is not as big as Forsberg, he has a similar skillset as him. Otto Stenberg has to the potential to be a top 6 forward with leadership qualities at the NHL level and should be a top 15 pick in next year’s draft.
