Juraj Slafkovsky has been one of the most hyped up prospects since his breakthrough season with TPS U18 in the 2019-20 season, where he scored 22 goals and 52 points in 39 games. Slafkovsky continued to show improvement in his game during the 2020-21 season, when he scored 8 goals and 13 points in 16 for the TPS U20. Although he hasn’t been productive for Slovakia in international play, he has been an important part of their team for the past two season, and will continue to be a crucial piece part of the team for years to come. Much like Rick Nash, Slafkovsky projects to be a highly skilled power forward, with excellent size, skating ability, and puck skills. He is relentless in his puck pursuit and also has incredible hockey sense as well. Juraj Slafkovsky should be a safe bet to be a top 10 pick in next years’ draft.
